SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you print the Task Usage or Resource Usage views, data in the timescale may be printed in the wrong cells.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur when the following conditions are true:

  • The Units for the Minor Scale are set to Weeks, (click the Timescale tab in the Timescale dialog box).
  • The Week Starts On is set to a day later than Tuesday, (click the Calendar tab in the Options dialog box).


RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, install Microsoft Project 98 for Windows Service Release 1 (SR-1).

To work around this problem, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: Use a Minor Timescale Unit Other Than Weeks

To change the timescale settings in the Task Usage or Resource Usage view, follow these steps:

  1. On the Format menu, click Timescale.
  2. On the Timescale tab, under Minor Scale, click a unit other than Weeks in the Units list, and then click OK.

Method 2: Set the Week to Start on Only Sunday, Monday or Tuesday

To change the starting day of the week, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Calendar tab.
  2. In the Week Starts On list, click the day that you want, and then click OK.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1).
