SYMPTOMS
Embedded OLE objects are converted to pictures when saving a Word 97 document as Word 6.0/95 format using the binary converter included with the SR-1 upgrade or patch.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2).
