SYMPTOMS
After performing the following steps, Windows NT may skip a day:
- In Control Panel, double-click Date/Time.
- Set the time to 11:59:55 PM.
- Set the date to anything (for example, July 1, 1998).
- Click Apply.
- Perform the following three actions in 5 seconds:
- Set the year to 1999.
- Set the month to 7.
- Set the day to 1.
- Set the clock to 11:59:55 PM and then click Apply. After 5 seconds, the clock advances to 7/3/1999 rather than 7/2/1999.
RESOLUTION
Windows NT 4.0
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4.
