SYMPTOMS

When you configure the Internet Mail Service for Microsoft Outlook 98 Internet Only (IMO) installation, there is no method available to schedule different connection times for each account.

MORE INFORMATION

With the Internet Mail Only installation of Outlook, you can configure multiple Internet Mail accounts in the same profile. However, the Internet Mail service does not provide a method of configuring different connection schedules for each account. You can only configure one schedule for all Internet Mail connections.

To access the connection schedule setting, follow these steps:

  1. Start Outlook using your Internet Mail profile.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click the Mail Delivery tab.
  4. Click to select "Check for new messages every <number> minute(s)."
  5. Type the number of minutes for the interval you want the program to wait between checking for your Internet Mail.
  6. Click Apply and OK to make your settings active.
