XADM: Incorrect Message When Issue Warning Limit Is Reached

SYMPTOMS

On the General tab for the Private Information Store properties, you can choose to set an Issue Warning limit and a Prohibit Send limit. When a mailbox reaches the Issue Warning limit, the mailbox owner incorrectly receives a warning that corresponds to the Prohibit Send limit. The user can continue to send and receive messages. Additionally, no warnings are received when the Prohibit Send limit is reached.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0.

This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
