SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Money 98 Income Tax Estimator does not support separate filings in one Money file.

CAUSE

This is by design. Separating deductions, expenses and income by person to enable accurate tax values is currently not a supported feature in Money.

RESOLUTION

MORE INFORMATION

Money calculates your income tax liability based on the data you enter in your Money file. Money does not have the ability to track expenses by individual at this time.

WORKAROUND

Married couples who want to file separate tax returns are able to do this by keeping separate Money files.
