SYMPTOMSIn a large Microsoft Exchange Organization, one that contains at least 60 Microsoft Exchange Sites, when a Microsoft Exchange administrator moves the Internet Mail Service (IMS) from one Site to another, it might take several days for the directory replication to complete. During this period, internet mail might be misrouted to the Site where the IMS was originally located.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server, version 5.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0.
