Article ID: 175091

Article Last Modified on 1/20/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Outlook 97 Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q175091

SUMMARY

When you use the Rules Wizard in Microsoft Outlook to set up a rule for processing e-mail messages, you have the option to "perform a custom action." Custom actions are additional features supplied by third party add-ins. Outlook supplies no custom actions.

MORE INFORMATION

There are a number of Rules Wizard custom actions, as Outlook add-ins, available on the Internet from third-party sources. To find Outlook add-ins on the Internet, use your Web browser to query on "Outlook" and "add-ins." Although Microsoft support engineers can help with the installation of add- ins, they will not modify the add-ins to provide new functionality and Microsoft does not guarantee the add-in can be used in all situations.

REFERENCES

For more information about installing add-ins, click the Office Assistant, type "add-in," click Search, and then click to view "Load, install, or remove an add-in."
