You can not use the following command-line to do an unattended set up of Microsoft Internet Explorer:
MSIE302.EXE /Q:1 /R:N /C:"INSTALL.EXE <destination directory>"
The <destination directory> is the location where Internet Explorer is to be installed.
The command-line parameter used in the above command-line allows Internet Explorer to do an unattended setup. This is not a quiet setup, because the file-copying dialog is not suppressed. There is no command-line parameter that suppresses the file-copying dialog.
NOTE: The above command-line in the Status section applies to Internet Explorer version 2.0 Express Setup program.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in IEAK version 3.2a. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
