How to Change Credit Card Information for Your MSN Account

This article describes how to review or change the credit card information used for billing for your MSN, The Microsoft Network, account.

NOTE: If your credit card's expiration date passes, your MSN account is locked and you cannot connect to MSN.

MSN versions 2.0, 2.5

  1. Connect to MSN.
  2. Click the question mark in the upper-right corner of MSN Program Viewer.
  3. Click Check Or Change Your Account.
  4. Click Online Statement.
  5. In Payment Method, click your credit card company.
  6. Verify that your credit card information is correct and current. Note that only the last six digits of your current credit card appear.

Classic MSN (Versions 1.0. 1.05, 1.2, 1.3)

  1. Connect to MSN.
  2. Click Tools, point to Billing, and then click Payment Method.
  3. Click Payment Method.
  4. Click the credit card company, and then review or change the information.
  5. Click OK.

Additional Information

If you cannot access your MSN account, contact MSN Member Support to reinstate the account. If you do not reinstate your account within 30 days, your e-mail account is canceled. For the Member Support phone number in your area, click Settings on the MSN Sign-In screen, and then click Help.
