The information in this article applies to:

  • Softimage 3D for IRIX, version 3.7
  • == Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.7 ==

SUMMARY

The Antialiasing settings (On and Off) in both the preview and the render dialog boxes give the following result:

  • When On is selected, the user-specified antialiasing settings are used.
  • When Off is selected, mental ray receives default factory settings. These default settings are -1,1 for rendering and -2,0 for previewing.

If you do not change any of the rendering settings, On and Off both give you the default factory settings. Therefore, images will be the same regardless of whether Antialiasing is On or Off.
