PRB: SOFTIMAGE 3D Won’t Start

SYMPTOMS
When you boot your machine, the process lmgrd does not run which makes it impossible to launch SOFTIMAGE 3D.
CAUSE
The link between /etc/rc2.d/ and the flexlm startup script which is located in, /etc/init.d/, is missing.
RESOLUTION
Create the link by entering the following commands:
cd /etc/rc2.d/
ln -s /etc/init.d/siflexlm S97siflexlm
STATUS
Softimage is researching this problem and will post new information as it becomes available.
