SYMPTOMS
When you print a publication that contains rotated metafile graphics and/or rotated WordArt images to an Hewlett-Packard DeskJet or Hewlett-Packard DeskWriter printer, colors and/or colored text may be dropped. This problem occurs with the following graphics formats:
- WordArt
- Computer Graphics Metafile (CGM)
- Windows Enhanced Metafile (EMF)
- Windows Metafile (WMF)
- Word Perfect Graphics (WPG)
WORKAROUND
Convert the image or WordArt object to a bitmap graphic format and then import it into your Publisher file, using the following steps:
- Select the graphic.
- On the Edit menu, click Cut.
- Start Microsoft Paint. (On the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Paint.)
- On the Image menu, click Attributes.
- In the Width and Height boxes, enter 1. Click OK.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
- On the Edit menu, click Select All.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy.
- Switch to Publisher.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
