SYMPTOMS
During the installation of Microsoft Money 98, your computer may stop responding (hang) when you click Restart Windows.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if all of the following are true:
You have Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.02 running.
-and-
You are connected to an active site, like http://investor.msn.com.
-and-
You install Money 98.
-and-
You click Restart Windows at the end of the Money Setup program.
RESOLUTION
If you find that your computer is not able to restart, manually restart your computer. After it successfully restarts, Money 98 will finish installing successfully.
To restart your computer, press the reset button or turn off the computer using the on/off switch, and then turn on the computer.
MORE INFORMATION
To prevent this problem, quit all programs prior to running Money 98 Setup.
