SYMPTOMS

When starting Microsoft Money or dialing from Microsoft Money, you may receive an error message that there is a problem with Dial-Up Networking.

CAUSE

This is a result of your modem detecting a busy signal.

This problem occurs when you use Microsoft Money with the Microsoft Windows NT operating system.

RESOLUTION

Wait until the line is no longer busy and try the call again.

MORE INFORMATION

The error may occur when starting Money if you have the program configured to check the Internet for new information on startup. If your modem volume has been turned down or off you will be unable to hear the busy signal and will not know the cause of the problem.
