SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, if you save your project to HyperText Markup Language (HTML) format, using the Export to HTML using standard template option in the Export Format dialog box, you receive the following error message:
NOTE: To locate the Export Format dialog box, click Save As HTML on the File menu, and then click Save in the File Save dialog box.
CAUSE
This error occurs when you install Microsoft Project to a folder other than the default folder because the path for the template file is hard-coded to the c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\Microsoft Project Web folder when you run the Microsoft Project Setup program.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, reset the path for the Import/Export map, using these steps:
- When you receive the error message, click Cancel.
- In the Export Format dialog box, click Edit.
- In the Define Import/Export Map dialog box, follow these steps:
- In the Base export on HTML template box, delete the current path and file name.
- Click to clear the Base export on HTML template check box.
- Click to select the Base export on HTML template check box.
The correct path should appear in the Base export on HTML template box. - Click OK.
- Click Save.
