To determine the brand and model of any sound cards or audio devices installed in your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click System.
  3. On the Device Manager tab, double-click Sound, Video And Game Controllers to expand the branch.
  4. Note all the devices listed in the Sound, Video And Game Controllers branch.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In Control Panel, double-click Multimedia.
  7. On the Advanced or Devices tab, double-click Audio Devices to expand the branch.
  8. Note all the devices listed in the Audio Devices branch.
  9. Click OK.
