SYMPTOMS

The DBCombo control's Click event fires during the Form's Load event.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This bug has been fixed in Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 2.

This behavior was not consistent with the DBCombo control that shipped with Visual Basic 4.0. After installing Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 2, the DBCombo control's Click event will not fire during the Form's Load event.
