SYMPTOMS

The Internet Mail service and MSN, The Microsoft Network are not available when you run Outlook 97 on Windows NT 3.51, Workstation or Server.

CAUSE

Neither the Internet Mail nor the MSN online service is designed to work on the Windows NT 3.51 operating system.

MORE INFORMATION

The Internet Mail Transport Service, that ships with Outlook, is designed to run on Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 and is not available for use on Windows NT Workstation / Server 3.51.

The Microsoft Network Online Transport Service, that is installed with MSN, versions 1.3 and 2.0, is designed to run on Windows 95 and is not available for use with Windows NT.
