SUMMARY

Quick Link #5 in Internet Explorer is the same hyperlink as the status logo for Internet Explorer (IE). Changing the hyperlink for Quick Link #5 also changes the hyperlink for the Internet Explorer status icon.

MORE INFORMATION

When you use the IEAK wizard to create a customized version of Internet Explorer, a wizard option allows you to customize the Start and Search pages and also the five quick links. Quick links are found on the Internet Explorer Links toolbar. The toolbar can be enabled or disabled by going to Internet Explorer View menu, choosing Options, and choosing the General tab.

If you customize Quick Link #5 in the IEAK Wizard or in IE (under View menu, Options, and Navigation tab), this will also change the IE status logo to be the same as the Quick Link #5. There is no separate setting that allows the status logo and Quick Link #5 to be different hyperlinks.
