This article was previously published under Q171971

When you stop panning through a 360 degree view in Microsoft Bookshelf 98, the view window may turn white. If you start to pan through the empty window, the 360 degree view reappears.

To resolve this problem, use the following steps to reduce the color palette to 256 colors:

  1. On the Apple menu, click Control Panels.
  2. Double-click Monitors, and then click 256.

This problem does not occur on Power Macintosh computers.
