PRB: Can Not Load Scenes Into SOFTIMAGE Particle

• Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.7

SYMPTOMS

A scene that you created in SOFTIMAGE 3D will not load into Particle. After you selected the scene and clicked Load, the scene did not successfully load.

CAUSE

There is a syntax error (case is incorrect) in the database path in the DatabaseDir.rsrc file.

RESOLUTION

Check the path of the troublesome database listed in your DatabaseDir.rsrc file. In a DOS shell, compare the syntax (particularly upper/lower case) of the actual directory names to that of the paths in your DatabaseDir.rsrc file.

Correct the syntax where necessary.
