Your local telephone connection to MSN may be very busy, or there may be a problem (such as line noise) with your local telephone service.

RESOLUTION

Connect to MSN using a different primary access number. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the MSN icon on your desktop, and then click Connection Settings.
  2. Click Access Numbers.
  3. Click the Change button next to the Primary box, and then click a different access number for your region.
  4. Click OK until you return to Windows.

If the problem persists after following these steps, contact your local telephone company and request that they test your telephone line for line noise.
