SYMPTOMS
Windows NT will intermittently log a Dr. Watson access violation error in Spoolss.dbg, causing the print spooler to stop. The spooler can be restarted, and it will continue functioning until the next occurrence of the access violation.
CAUSE
There was a problem in Localspl.dll.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem on a computer running Windows NT 4.0, apply Service Pack 3. Contact Microsoft Technical Support if your computer is running Windows NT 3.51.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
