SUMMARY
The direct 3D exporter does support hierarchies, therefore allowing you to export a model that has separate objects that are parented. Before you export a model with hierarchies, you should consider the following information:
- Use classical scaling, or freeze the scaling of every model if you are not using scaling animation, otherwise you will probably get some weird transformations.
- If the parented elements are not animated you are better off merging them with the parent object; you will get fewer elements in your hierarchies, therefore giving you better performance because there are no useless computation done on these elements.
- The direct3D exporter only supports one hierarchy at a time so if you want to export several, you should first parent them to a NULL.
