SUMMARY

This article discusses how to set up labels which contain different address information.

When you use the pre-designed label templates included with Greetings Workshop, the program will ask you to enter the name and address for your labels. However, the program assumes you want to create the same set of labels on a sheet and will repeat the same address information on the entire sheet of labels.

You can only have the number of labels set up on the template. If you want to create labels for 70 different people, you have to create 3 different files. This assumes 30 labels per page.

MORE INFORMATION

If you are using any of the pre-designed labels, please refer to the section "Creating different addresses using pre-designed labels". If you are using a blank label (one containing no graphics or text), please refer to the section "Creating different addresses using blank labels".

Creating different addresses using pre-designed labels

If you are using a pre-designed label template and would like to have different addresses on a sheet of labels, do the following:

  1. On the Greetings Workshop opening screen, click Labels & Stickers.
  2. Choose the type of labels you want to use.
  3. Choose the design you want to use.
  4. On the dialog where you are asked to "Type your own shaped text below:" click Continue. Do not change the default text.
  5. Choose the text effect you want for your text. This effect will be applied to all your labels.
  6. Click Continue.

Your page of labels has been created. You can now edit the address information to include the specific addresses you want to use.

  1. On your page of labels, click the first text box on the first label.
  2. On Rocky's dialog, click Change It.
  3. The default address information will appear. Change it to the address you want printed.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click the next text box to be edited and repeat steps 8 - 10.
  6. Repeat steps 8 - 11 until all the text information has been changed.

Now refer to step 13 below.

Creating different addresses using blank labels

If you are using a blank label template and would like to have different addresses on a sheet of labels, do the following:

  1. On the Greetings Workshop opening screen, click Labels & Stickers.
  2. Choose the type of labels you want to use.
  3. If a blank label design is available, select it and press Continue. A sheet of blank labels will be displayed.
  4. Click on "Add text, a picture, or something else".
  5. Click on "A new text box"
  6. When the text box appears, enter in the address information. You may choose to change the font style, size and color.
  7. Move the text box into one of the label outline displayed.
  8. Repeat steps 4 through 7 to fill out your label sheet.
  9. If you want to add a graphic to the label, Click on "Add text, a picture, or something else".
  10. Click on "A picture".
  11. Select a picture from the clipart gallery then press OK. You may need to resize the picture to make it fit on one label.
  12. Move the graphic into the correct location on the label. If you want the same graphic to appear on each label, copy, paste and move the graphic into the correct location for each label.

Now refer to step 13 below.

  1. You are now ready to save and print your labels.

If you have more address labels to create than will fit on the sheet, you will need to create a second project. When you create a second project for labels, follow these steps above. When you are asked to save the project, give it a different name than the first set of labels you created.
