SYMPTOMS

When printing a Kodak Custom Creation in Picture It!, you may receive the following error message:

Exception 10h in Piutil.dll

CAUSE

You may receive this error message when using the following printers:

  • Hewlett-Packard PhotoSmart Photo Printer
  • Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 690 Series
  • Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 870C

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: Use a Different Printer

  1. Select a different printer before choosing the Just Add It command.
  2. Once you complete the creation, print to the selected printer.

Method 2: Do Not Use the .mix File Format

  1. Save the creation in a format other than .mix, for example .tif.

NOTE: You can disregard the error message: "Cannot Save All Changes." This means that the layers of the image are flattened; however, this is not a problem because you cannot edit the layers in a Custom Creation.

  1. Once you complete the creation, print to the selected printer.
