PRB: Error Message "Path is incorrect"

The information in this article applies to:
- Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.7
SYMPTOMS
After you have upgraded from SOFTIMAGE 3D v3.51 to v3.7, the following error message appears:
"Path is incorrect"
CAUSE
This error occurs because you have installed SOFTIMAGE 3D as Administrator rather than as a user who is part of an administrator group, and the FLEXlm license service was not updated properly in the Windows NT Registry.
RESOLUTION
You must remove FLEXlm as an NT Service and then re-install the service with the correct path to FLEXlm. To do this, complete the following steps:
From the c:\soft3d_3.7\flexlm\bin directory, enter the command:
install remove
Next enter the command:
install c:\soft3d_3.7\flexlm\bin\lmgrd.exe
- Now go to Control Panel > Services and start the FlexLM license service.
