Last reviewed: July 11, 1997
Article ID: Q171204

The information in this article applies to:

  • Softimage 3D for IRIX, version 3.7
  • Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.7

SUMMARY

If the program(s) that you are unable to run uses FLEXlm, then step 4 of "Before You Start" on page 7 of the SOFTIMAGE 3D Installation instructions is responsible for the problems you are now experiencing. This step is a documentation bug that instructs you to remove the FLEXlm directory. Unfortunately if you have other programs that use the FLEXlm licensing program, you will not be able to launch them.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have cause you.

To correct this, if you have a backup of your FLEXlm directory, you must reinstall it. If you do not have a backup, you must request another license for the program(s) that uses FLEXlm.
