SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to post a file or folder from a remote drive (such as a shared drive on the network) with Web Publishing Wizard, you may receive the following error message:

The file(s) you selected to publish could not be found.

CAUSE

You connected to the remote drive with a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path.

RESOLUTION

To post a file or folder that is located on a remote drive, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

Map a network drive to the share containing the file or folder you want to post.

Method 2

Copy the file or folder from the remote drive to a local drive and then post the file or folder from the local drive.
