PRB: Error Message: "Cannot open SOFTIMAGE font"

The information in this article applies to:
- Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.7
SYMPTOMS
When you try to start SOFTIMAGE 3D, the following error message appears after installation:
"Cannot open SI font (invalid argument) Cannot open SI font (no such file directory)"
CAUSE
This message is issued at start-up time when system fonts are not found or you do not have the correct permissions to read them.
RESOLUTION
Check the $SI_LOCATION\3D\rsrc directory to verify that you have access to the following fonts:
Softimage.fnt Softimage15.fnt Softlogo.fnt
The environment variable SI_LOCATION may not be pointing to the correct location or some of the settings may be wrong.
