PRB: Cannot Animate Motion Blur Values in SOFTIMAGE Eddie

• Softimage Eddie for IRIX, version 3.5

SYMPTOMS

You cannot animate Motion Blur values. When you key Motion Blur values and then press the SHIFT+FORWARD keys to preview, nothing happens.

CAUSE

Eddie 3.5 Bug #2017.

RESOLUTION

From the Input Editor, turn on Transformation and then turn it off. Next you must turn on Motion Blur. Now it is possible to animate the values and see the results.

STATUS

Softimage has confirmed this to be a bug in the Softimage products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
