SUMMARY

Both Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition and the stand-alone version of Microsoft Access 97 have a Calendar ActiveX control that you can use in Microsoft Office applications. However, you are not licensed to redistribute the Calendar control unless you own a licensed copy of Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition.

MORE INFORMATION

Even though the Calendar control is included with Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition and the stand-alone version of Microsoft Access 97, you cannot redistribute the Calendar control (MSCAL.OCX) in a custom application unless you have purchased a copy of Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition.

If you do not own a licensed copy of Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition, but plan to distribute your application to users who own either Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition or the stand-alone version of Microsoft Access 97, your application will work properly if the users have installed the Calendar control.

There is a newer version of the Calendar control that you can use in any host that supports ActiveX controls; for example, Office 97 applications, Visual Basic, and HTML pages. The control may be freely distributed under the conditions of the End User Licensing Agreement, a section of which is reproduced below:

Reproduction and Distribution. You may reproduce and distribute an
unlimited number of copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT; provided that each
copy shall be a true and complete copy, including all copyright and
trademark notices, and shall be accompanied by a copy of this EULA.
Copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT may be distributed as a standalone
product or included with your own product.
