SYMPTOMS
When you open a project file in Microsoft Project 98, you receive the macro warning dialog box.
CAUSE
The macro warning dialog box appears when you open a file you created in an earlier version of Microsoft Project if you used the Organizer to delete a macro module. This problem occurs because, although you deleted the macro module, the file still contains a reference to the macro.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, remove the macro and the reference to it using these steps:
- On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Macros.
- In the Macros dialog box, select the macro, and then click Delete.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed at the beginning of this article.
