SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you attempt to save a file that is opened as read-only on another computer, you receive a message indicating that the file cannot be opened, is damaged, or is in an unrecognized format.

RESOLUTION

Install the Service Pack 3 (or later) for Microsoft Windows NT, version 4.0.
