SYMPTOMS
When you try to install the Microsoft Internet Address Book Server with SQL Database Configuration, you may receive the following error message:
The only option is to click OK, and the Setup for Microsoft Internet Address Book Server will close.
CAUSE
This problem is caused by specifying less than the required minimum space for the Data, Log, and Temp database created by Microsoft Internet Address Book Server Setup in SQL Server. The minimum space required for the Data, Log, and Temp databases is 40, 4, and 8 megabytes respectively. Set the Temp database at least double the size of the Log database.
WORKAROUND
You must remove Microsoft Internet Address Book Server before attempting to reinstall.
- Click Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs.
- Select Microsoft Address Book Server, and click the Add/Remove button.
- Follow the instructions for proper removal and then reinstall Microsoft Internet Address Book Server by running the Setup.exe file from the appropriate directory.
