Money: Converting from Homesavings to Southtrust Bank

SUMMARY

If your bank is changing from Homesaving Bank to Southtrust Bank and you are currently signed up for Online Banking and/or Online Bill Payment, you must disable your Home Banking Services for your online accounts with Homesavings Bank and then use the Online Services Setup Wizard to setup new accounts with Southtrust Bank. This change to your Money Data file must be done on or before June 27th 1997.

Important Note: If you use Online Bill Payment and have set up Automatic Payments (Apays), you must cancel all Apays in the Payment Calendar before disabling the Online Bill Payment Services.

If you have any Automatic Payments (Apays), you must send cancel instructions; then after you have completed the Online Setup Wizard to set up the new accounts with Southtrust you must recreate the Apays with the new account information.

After you cancel any Apays, you must disable your Home Banking Services (Online Banking and/or Online Bill Payment Home Banking).

After disabling your Home Banking Services, use the Online Services Setup Wizard and set up your new Southtrust accounts. For more information on how to setup your new accounts, see the instructions below for your version of Money.

In Money versions 4.0 and 5.0

  1. At the Contents screen, click Account Manager.

  2. Click the account you want to set up.

  3. Click Account Details.

  4. Click Setup Online Services or Select Online Services.

    NOTE: The button name varies depending upon how many accounts, you have established for Online Services.

  5. Enter information as requested.

    NOTE: You should confirm all of your personal information based on the new reference guide sent to you by your bank or Online Services.

  6. Make sure you select Online Banking and/or Online Bill Payment as appropriate for your accounts.

    NOTE: Checking accounts are the only accounts enabled for Online Bill Payment.

  7. Click Next. Make sure your Account number and Account type are correct.

    NOTE: Do not enter any dashes or spaces in your account number.

  8. Click Next. Make sure you have selected your bank from the list and that your new bank routing number is correct.

  9. Click Next (and click Finish, if it appears). Your account is now setup for Online Services.

  10. Repeat this process for each Online account.

In Money version 3.x

  1. On the Lists menu, click Account List

  2. Select the account you want to reset, and then click Money On-Line Services.

  3. Make sure you select Pay On-Line and/or Bank On-Line, as appropriate for your accounts.

  4. If you are setting up Bank On-Line, do the following:

    1. Verify that the Account Description is correct.

    2. Select the appropriate Financial Institution. If your financial Institution is not listed, click Other.

    3. Type your routing number in the Bank Routing Number box at the bottom of the dialog.

  5. Click OK. Your account is now reset.

  6. Repeat this process for each account.
