APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft NetMeeting 2.0 Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q169905

SYMPTOMS

You may be unable to share programs with NetMeeting even though you have successfully installed Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 and enabled program sharing in NetMeeting.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you have PCAnywhere 7.5 installed on your computer. PCAnywhere installs a driver (Aw_host.sys) that conflicts with the NetMeeting driver (the PCAnywhere driver prevents information from getting to NetMeeting).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, upgrade to PCAnywhere 8.0 or later. For information about the PCAnywhere upgrade or obtaining this software upgrade, please contact Symantec.
