Article ID: 169727

Article Last Modified on 1/19/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Project 2000 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Project 98 Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q169727

SYMPTOMS

When you remove the link between tasks that have uncompleted work, the tasks do not move back to their original Resume date.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you reschedule the uncompleted work. Microsoft Project can only store one Resume date per task. When you reschedule uncompleted work for a task, the new date is placed in the Resume field. As a result, you cannot move the task back to the original Resume date.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, manually move the task back to the original date.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
