SYMPTOMS

You cannot select text you typed in the Whiteboard tool in NetMeeting.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to the most current version of NetMeeting from the following Microsoft Web site:

To work around this problem, type the text in a text editor (such as Notepad or WordPad) and then share that program with other conference members. To share a program with other conference members, point to Share Application on the Tools menu, and then click the program you want to share. The other members can then see the text as well as select it for copying and pasting.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft NetMeeting versions 1.0 and 2.0.

MORE INFORMATION

You can select entire blocks of text in the Whiteboard tool by using the Select tool, or you can select the entire Whiteboard contents by clicking Select All on the Edit menu.
