SYMPTOMS
When you copy a Web that contains a custom WebBot component to a server that does not have the corresponding WebBot component code installed, the name of the WebBot component is displayed instead of the WebBot component. For example, if you insert a WebBot Hit Counter component on your Web page, and the server does not have the WebBot Hit Counter component code, you might see the following text in place of the hit counter:
[HitCounterBot]
In contrast, if you copy this Web to a server that contains the appropriate WebBot component code, the hit counter will be displayed instead of the description.
CAUSE
When you publish a Web that contains a WebBot component to a server which does not have the appropriate WebBot component code, the WebBot component cannot be interpreted correctly by the server. As a result, the description of the WebBot component is displayed instead of the actual WebBot component.
RESOLUTION
Install the appropriate WebBot component code on the server where you are publishing your Web.
