Internet Explorer Window Too Large for the Screen

Article ID: 169329

Article Last Modified on 5/29/2007

This article was previously published under Q169329

When you change the display resolution, the Internet Explorer window may be too large for the screen. The title bar may be off the screen, making it difficult to move or resize the window.

This behavior can occur if you change to a lower screen resolution than you were using when you last ran Internet Explorer.

To work around this behavior, change back to a higher resolution and resize the Internet Explorer window before changing to a lower resolution.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
