SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to copy or move a group of files from your desktop computer to your Handheld PC (H/PC) using H/PC Explorer, it may take a long time to copy or move the first file. In addition, your desktop computer may stop responding (hang) while copying the files.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when Desktop Menu (one of the Windows 95 Power Toys) is running on your desktop computer. When you copy or move multiple files using H/PC Explorer while Desktop Menu is running, system resources on your desktop computer may drop significantly and continue to drop during the copying process.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, disable Desktop Menu before copying groups of files from your desktop computer to your H/PC.
