CAUSE

The mouse driver for the IntelliMouse may conflict with the drivers for the MWave sound/modem device.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, remove the IntelliPoint software. To do this, use the following steps:

  1. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs tab.
  3. Click IntelliPoint 2.0 in the list of installed software.
  4. Click Add/Remove.
  5. Click OK to remove the IntelliPoint software.

NOTE: The Microsoft IntelliMouse functions as a Microsoft Mouse even if you remove the IntelliPoint software.
