If the Content Replication System (CRS) access control list (ACL) replication cannot look up a user account given permissions on source or stager content (that is, the SID references a trusted domain that is temporarily inaccessible), the corresponding permission is stripped from the content on the target.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
