SUMMARY
This article describes how to cache when you use IPX internally. The Web proxy does caching of the HTTP content. The WinSock Proxy does not support caching of the content. The Internet browser running on IPX needs to go through both components, Web Proxy and Winsock Proxy, to get the cached content.
MORE INFORMATION
To cache content, do the following steps:
- On the server, select (enable) the TCP/IP protocol for the network interface controller (NIC) connected to the corporate Local Area Network (LAN) or intranet.
- Use a static IP address assigned to this NIC.
- Configure your Internet browser to use the Proxy Server, and use the IP address defined in previous step.
- Ensure that this IP address is in the Local Address Table (LAT).
