SYMPTOMS
If you apply a Mouse Click or Mouse Over action setting to a vertical or horizontal line, the action does not occur when you click or move the mouse over the line during a slide show. In contrast, if you apply either the Mouse Click or Mouse Over action setting to a diagonal line, the action occurs as expected.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, cut the line and paste it as a picture.
- Select the line, and then click Cut on the Edit menu.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
- In the Paste Special dialog box, click Picture or Picture (Enhanced Metafile), and then click OK.
- Move the picture to its correct position.
- On the Slide Show menu, click Action Settings.
- Click either the Mouse Click tab or the Mouse Over tab, select the options you want to use, and then click OK.
