SYMPTOMS
You may have Microsoft Team Manager files and registry entries left on your system after using setup to remove your installation if the following happens:
- An administration setup (Setup.exe /a ) is done to a network drive for both team managers and team members. -and-
- You install both the team manager and team member applications from the administrative setup locations. -and-
- You choose to have both the team manager and team member applications Run from the Network Server. -and-
- You run setup for the team manager application and choose Remove All, and then run setup for the team member application and choose Remove All.
WORKAROUND
The files and registry entries left remaining on your system will not interfere with other programs and will not cause problems if you again reinstall Microsoft Team Manager or Microsoft Team Manager for team members.
The files which can be removed from your System or System32 folder are:
Mtmmail.exe Mtmmail.hlp Mtmmfc.dll Mtmole.dll Mtmres.dll Mtmtcres.dll Mtmnet.dll (If you have installed Messaging Option 3)
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
