SYMPTOMS
You use the Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator program (Admin.exe) to set a limit on the size of messages to be delivered to a custom recipient. Messages that are sent to this custom recipient are not stopped from delivery even though the messages are larger then the limit.
CAUSE
This functionally was never implemented.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0.
