SYMPTOMS
If xp_sendmail is run with a query and @attach_results is true, temporary files are left in the System32 directory where Microsoft Windows NT is installed.
WORKAROUND
- Use the optional parameter @attachments to specify the file name and only one file will be left in the System32 directory.
- Use the optional parameter @attachments to specify the file path to a temporary directory for easy cleanup later.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server versions 6.0 and 6.5.
